It offers visitors an immersive experience into the traditional lifestyle of the Banyankole people, with activities such as cattle-keeping tours, village walks, and cultural encounters.

The Ankole Heritage and Cultural Tourism Association (AHCTA) is an organization focused on promoting cultural tourism in the Ankole sub-region of Uganda. It was launched at Kamukuzi, Mbarara city on January 29, 2025, with the aim of merging cultural and traditional heritage tourism by highlighting the opportunities that cultural sites, items, and activities can offer while fostering local pride and global appreciation.
